Sexy Catwoman Costume

The Catwoman character was actually introduced into Batman to give it sex appeal! Some Catwoman costumes do reveal more flesh than others. So you can choose your own preference. The costume on this page is close to that worn by Halle Berry in the film Catwoman which was unfortunately a flop. But the costume’s great!
There is not much variety in Catwoman costumes but there is an excellent one shown below. You can get a kit which comprises a half-mask, claws and glovelets. An essential accessory for Catwoman is to have a whip! Click on any of the pictures to check them out.

At her debut she didn’t wear a costume. Then she wore a mask and later adopted a green catsuit. In the 1990s she wore a skin tight purple catsuit and later changed to the black PVC catsuit like that worn by Michelle Pfeiffer in the film Batman Returns.
Many of her costumes have incorporated retractable claws into the gloves and sometimes into her boots. Of course, her weapon of choice is the whip, an essential accessory if you’re going to be Catwoman.
Catwoman was introduced to give Batman a love interest. There are various stories in the comics of her origin but in the 1986 version Selina Kyle is a cat-loving prostitute/dominatrix who is inspired to become a cat burglar by seeing Batman in action.
She had a difficult time as a child. She had a distant mother who preferred the company of cats and eventually committed suicide and her father was an alcoholic. Her father drank himself to death and she took to the streets for a time. She was then caught and sent to an orphanage and then to juvenile hall.
When she was 13, she found out that the administrator of the hall was embezzling funds. She blackmailed him to erase her name from the records and escapes from the hall with his diamond necklace.
She was taken in by some young thieves led by Mama Fortuna and taught how to steal. Mama Fortuna keeps all the money and treats the youngsters like slaves. Selina runs away with her friend Sylvia and to support themselves they turn to prostitution.
As Catwoman, she is more an antiheroine than an out-and-out villain and is regularly portrayed as Batman’s one true love. This is well portrayed in the movie Batman Returns with Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman.
The film Catwoman with Halle Berry did not really portray the Catwoman of the comics. However, she does wear a very sexy Catwoman costume! For some ideas for your husband, partner or friend, visit our main Batman and Robin costume page.

Great fun fact about catwoman that I never knew before. I would like to see more costumes but the costume you have shown I have never seen before and looks like something I would definitely wear this season! Thank you

I really like batman and catwoman costumes as they add mystery but also look cool. You could go to a masquerade ball dressed in one of these outfits and fit in perfectly but also have a modern or pop culture twist to your costume. Masquerade balls are really quite decadent as people can literally hide behind their masks letting their inhibitions wash away. Makes for some pretty exciting nights.

I’ve always loved catwoman. Michelle Pfeiffer was my favorite catwoman probably because she’s a great actress. And because she wore that black vinyl catsuit. She looked SO sexy! Plus, I always loved the tail… I can’t really remember if there was a tail in the movies, but I always remember it that way…

My first Catwoman was Eartha Kitt on the Batman TV show. She kind of stands out as the best for me, probably because they hammed up the acting so much in that series. I seem to remember she really went to town with the cat like actions and the meowing sounds and she had a very angular face which suited being a cat.

Great Costume Ideas here. Catwoman, Batman and Robin have always brought out the child in me. They have stirred my imagination long before the TV and movie series. I have been a fan from the original Comic Books and followed the Batman adventures way back. Nice site, laid out very well, and I am a fan of the theme.

If we are voting Michelle Pfeiffer is definitely the sexiest to play the role ever, Of course, I like everything she is in! Batman needs the feline opposite to give him an evil character he is drawn to and repelled by at the same time. The whip makes the costume. Nice work on the site.

What a great post, poor cat woman she has been traumatised for life just shows what influence your parents have on your upbringing!
Seriously, loved the costume it is purrrrfect. Wish I had the figure to carry the look off, somehow being 20lbs over my ideal wouldn’t look that good, but wait we have now only ……. days to diet before Halloween!

Catwoman is definitely a great costume choice. I thought both Michelle Pfeiffer & Halle Berry played great Catwomen in the movies but Eartha Kitt from the original TV series in my mind will always remain as the best most dynamic of the Catwomen actresses. Thanks for the great costume idea.

When I was comming up I loved the old Batman & Robin episode with Eartha Kitt as cat woman. Being an African American woman, I wanted to be t Catwoman because of Eartha Kitt (the first and only black woman that played catwoman years ago).

Yes Yes Gigi I remember that episode Eartha Kitt put sexy into cat woman, and she has just got better and sexier since. I can’t think of another outfit that would compliment the female figure.

It is my calculation…based on information from the industry…that most Batman costume purchases will be equaled by a CatWoman costume. This will be especially true of younger couples going to a party on Halloween. Like your site and the embedded photos…Good Work!
