Batman Toddler Costume
Posted by: admin Post date: September 11th, 2009If you don’t want your toddler to miss out on all the fun at Halloween then take a look at some of these cute Batman toddler costumes. By wearing a Batman costume your little one can instantly become a super-hero flying like a bat in the night solving crimes and foiling villains.
My personal favourite are the Batman Brave and Bold costumes for toddlers. Batman: The Brave and the Bold is a light-hearted animated television series that features Batman and two or more fellow super heroes uniting to fight off the bad guys. Whereas the original Batman television series and subsequent films are aimed more for the teen or adult market, The Brave and the Bold is perfect toddler viewing.
I think the costume you see on the left is the best looking. It’s the Batman Brave and Bold Deluxe M/C Toddler/Child Costume. It’s jumpsuit with a built-in muscled chest. It includes mask, cape, arm gauntlets, attached boot tops and a utility belt.
Another version is the Batman Brave and Bold Infant/Toddler outfit shown on the right.
It doesn’t have the level of detail of the last costume but it’s cheaper and still looks pretty good.
Although the Brave and Bold costumes are the most popular because of the animated TV series, the Dark Knight Toddler costume is also pretty
cute. It’s a black jumpsuit that has the armor and utility belt screen printed onto the material.
All three of the costumes shown are officially licensed Batman costumes.
More about Batman: the Brave and the Bold
Batman normally only had Robin to help him fight crime, but in this television series, he teams up with a different super hero such as the Blue Beetle, Green Arrow, Aquaman, Plastic Man and Red Tornado. The stories are still set in Gotham City, but Batman often finds himself leaving the city, travelling to the past and future as well as beneath the sea and outer space.
One of the characters featured is the Blue Beetle. The original Blue Beetle was Dan Garret who first appeared in the late 1930’s. He was a young police officer who used special equipment and super-strength vitamins to fight crime. In the mid-50’s the story of the Blue Beetle was revised and Dan Garret became an archaeologist who found an artefact in Egypt that resembled a scarab which he used to fight crime. In the 1960’s, we were introduced to Ted Kord, a student of Dan Garrett who took over the mantle of the Blue Beetle when Dan Garret died. Ted was a genius, both an inventor and gifted athlete. It was much later in 2006 that the Blue Beetle changed completely, with teenager Jaime Reyes who has super powers that come from the scarab. There is a Blue Beetle child costume available for older kids.
Don’t forget to take a look at some of the great accessories on offer to complete the Batman Toddler Costume look such as batarangs and grappling hooks.

I think that a Batman costume is a great idea for little guys – everyone will easily recognize what they are dressing up as and yet, the mask gives them a little bit of mystery, no-one’s quite sure who’s behind that mask and when they look at themselves in the mirror, these little guys will love that they look so secretive – never mind the fact that they just look so cute in these outfits!
